Hi, I'm Shannon

I'm a wife, mother, GiGi to five wonderful grandchildren, and the founder of Willow & Word.

I live in Waynesboro, Georgia, where faith, family, and simple everyday moments inspire the stories I write.

One day, while sitting in my living room, I looked at my husband and said:

"You're going to think I'm crazy, but God wants me to write a children's book."

At that moment, I had no idea what that would look like.

Hi, I'm Shannon.

As the days passed, little pieces of a story began coming to me. Characters took shape in my heart, scenes unfolded in my mind, and what began as a simple whisper from God became something much bigger than I ever imagined.

That whisper became A Wink From God.

And from that first story, Willow & Word was born.

Today, my mission is simple:

To help children discover God's love through faith-filled stories that plant seeds of hope, courage, kindness, and truth.

Through books, speaking events, school visits, church programs, podcasts, radio interviews, and community gatherings, I hope to encourage families to recognize God's presence in everyday moments.

My prayer is that every child who opens one of my books walks away knowing they are deeply loved by God.
